Cristina Portanova
I believe that meaningful change begins with motivation and the courage to take the first step. In our work together, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in your own healing process.
I work with teens, adults and families struggling with anxiety, social anxiety, ADHD, trauma, uncomfortable and conflictual family dynamics and depression.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered philosophy that honors your individual strengths, values, and goals. A core part of my clinical work involves helping you identify and shift unhealthy patterns by increasing awareness and challenging unhelpful thoughts. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to support our work together to build healthier coping strategies and foster lasting personal growth.
I view therapy as a collaborative partnership—you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support and guide you toward the life you want to live. Whether you're working through specific challenges or striving to reach your full potential, I’m here to help you every step of the way.
