The Balanced Boss
1:1 online coaching designed to help female entrepreneurs break from stress, anxiety and perfectionism.
You’re smart. You’re driven. You’re Ambitious.
But under the surface? You’re exhausted.
You built your business with heart and hustle—but the late nights, racing thoughts, and constant pressure to “do it all perfectly” are starting to take a toll.
You're not alone.
As a licensed psychotherapist and coach for female entrepreneurs, I specialize in helping high-achieving women like you break the cycle of anxiety, stress, and perfectionism—without sacrificing your success.
Living with the burden of anxiety and perfectionism is exhausting and takes the fun out of entrepreneurship.
Can you relate to any of these challenges?
Finding it hard to set boundaries or say no
You feel anxious when you're not working—and guilty when you are
You’re burnt out, overwhelmed, and secretly wondering, "How long can I keep this up?"
Feeling irritable, on edge, or easily agitated
Experiencing frequent feelings of resentment toward loved ones
Always dwelling on worst-case scenarios
Struggling with insomnia due to anxiety
Constantly overthinking, second-guessing, and pushing yourself to meet impossibly high standards
Difficulty relaxing or slowing down
If so, I see you. And as your anxiety coach, I’m here to show you another way.
It might feel like you’re trapped in a cycle of anxiety, perfectionism, and overachievement, but freedom from constant underlying anxiety is within your reach.
My coaching approach is centered on evidence-based therapy techniques and personalized support.
This isn’t surface-level mindset work. We go deep—to the root of what’s really keeping you stuck—so you can finally feel grounded, calm, and in charge of your business and life.
Together, we'll find the root causes of your anxiety and create tailored strategies to help you flourish and thrive in your career – not just endure.
Meet Justine, your mental health coach for anxiety.
I’m Justine Carino, a licensed psychotherapist and anxiety coach. I have a private practice based in New York and Connecticut and also host the mental health podcast, Thoughts from the Couch. I’ve been featured in Forbes, CNN, Cosmopolitan Magazine, The Huffington Post, News 12, and hired as a wellness speaker for employees of Lockheed Martin, Eileen Fisher and Know Women.
With over 12 years of clinical experience in treating anxiety disorders, I’ve supported hundreds of ambitious, high-functioning women in dialing down their inner anxieties.
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that a fast-paced, high-stakes lifestyle works really well—until it doesn’t anymore.
Anxiety and perfectionism can be a great motivator to hit goals in your business.
The problem is that living with daily high functioning anxiety is unsustainable.
It’s like speeding your car down the highway in second gear: it’ll get you where you need to go, but it completely wears down your engine if you do it for too long.
Living with persistent underlying stress and worry is the same. It causes you to become burned out, wound up, and resentful. It feels like you’re holding together all the pieces of your life by a thread that might snap any minute.
I get it because I’ve been there.
As a mom of two young children, a business owner, and a perfectionist myself, I’ve been in your shoes.
I know the pressure on you as an academic, a professional, a partner, or a parent to do it all and be the best. You need to be the best at your job, because you are the one in charge. Everything feels urgent and important. You take pride in your career and personal life, and you don’t know how you’d even begin to prioritize some things over others.
The Balanced Boss is for you if you:
Have an outwardly successful life but struggle with stress and worry
Grapple with ruminating thoughts, perfectionism, and people-pleasing
Are high functioning and achieve what you need to, but want to break free from the exhaustion of constant hustle
Want to find more balance, calm, and peace in your life
Feel like you’re playing a game of Jenga with life – one wrong move, and everything topples over
You can be successful and sane.
Throughout our coaching program, I’ll guide you through a structured, evidence-based curriculum designed to equip you with essential knowledge and skills to soothe your anxiety.

The difference is mainly in the severity of symptoms – my coaching clients aren’t having suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, or debilitating panic attacks.

Another difference is that I can work with you anywhere you live as your anxiety coach, whereas therapy requires that you reside in either Connecticut or New York state.
