I am so excited to collaborate with Registered Dietitian Ilyse Schapiro, MS, RDN to empower young adults ages 18-22 to develop the skills they need in order to effectively navigate their health from the inside out. In our workshop, participants will learn tools to increase self-esteem, build positive body image and create healthy habits. The event will include an interactive virtual discussion followed by Q&A with Ilyse and Justine.

Many young adults are finding themselves frustrated with the changes that have come into their lives over the past year and a half. Because of all the recent lifestyle changes, many people have developed unhealthy habits about the way they eat and move their bodies. Some college students have had too much time to overthink the way their body looks and their relationship with food. The return to college this fall is a great time to set new health and wellness goals.

Some of the topics to be covered in this workshop are:

  • What influences how we feel about our bodies and the way we look.
  • The power of our thoughts and how our thinking impacts our mood and behaviors.
  • Learn how to let go of thought patterns that make us feel less worthy.
  • Debunk myths about food.
  • Teach body positive tips and positive coping skills.
  • Discuss how social media can negatively impact our self-worth and body image.
